I have a iriver ifp-790
i want to connect it to my computer so that I can get music
i don’t have the software disc so when i connect it to my windows xp sp3 toshiba satellite m115 it runs the found new hardware wizard
when i press install automatically it says hardware cannot be installed
what do i do
My toshiba (satellite L355) laptop’s vista home premium($240) won’t boot, i went into the bios and change the booting order and tried to use the recovery disk, it will load, then onto a loading bar, then a blank screen, then a mouse pops up and that’s all, nothing happens even when i press buttons. i tried going to safe mode(all 3 options), but it just briefly(less than 0.5 seconds) goes in a blue screen then restarts, i tried using the use last working configuration, but it just goes into an endless loading screen(same with normal booting). i tried the “repair computer” option of vista’s but it does the same as the recovery disk.
so now that i’ve address every option and non works, i’m wondering if anyone has any solutions, i have not tried a file recovery software which i couldn’t find in office max, i’m wondering if anyone knows of one and do include the price please, that and any suggestions or solutions you might have. and yes i have went to look up a solution online, i can tell ya not a single one i saw ended with success

It currently has ONE 512 MB DDR2 PC-5300
It runs on XP Home
It also has dual channel support
So I was wondering if I purchased a 1 GB DDR2 PC-4200 and stuck it in WITH the other RAM stick would there be compatibility issues?
What is the meaning of PC-4200 and PC -5300?

Ok, I can’t seem to get on the INTERNET on my Toshiba Satellite M305-S4830 with Vista Home Premium. when i plug the new wire into my old laptop it works. but when i plug that same wire in to my new laptop it doesn’t work. i went through all of my net settings, they’re all the same as when i was able to log on. I scanned for viruses and there were none to be found. I have no idea whats wrong. I’ve already tried doing the “Repair Connection”…..i did that like 6 times and still not working
wait………..i was on wireless net before it happened but i my net worked before last time i did that. so i don’t know.
can anyone give some advice on what i can do?
My computer keepes wanting to shutdown explorer every time I try to play a video and also many other times. the video continuse to play but i get two error report one from explorer and one from windows media player, what con i do?Also my computer is very laggy.

I have a Toshiba Satellite a205-s5809.
It came with the port for an S-video out, but there’s nothing there. Would it be cheaper to just buy a VGA to RCA/S-video converter box?
I just got a new Toshiba Satellite with Windows Vista about two weeks ago. Every time it goes into sleep mode, I lose internet connection. I will do the Lock shortcut (Windows icon button + L) and I lose internet connection that way too.
How can I fix this?

I was using my laptop when my 1 year old son pulled the ac adaptor wire out of the back of it, i then looked at the laptop and it was off, i tried to turn it back on but have had no joy, also, even though the ac adaptor is plugged in i have no lights on the laptop either
the ac jack to the laptop is not loose and i have tried with taking the battery out and using a different adaptor.
any ideas????
I bought a new laptop(HP Turion) 3 months back, however the problem is not with my current laptop, I had some technicians remove the hard drive from my old laptop(Toshiba Satellite M40X) and make it into an external hard drive, but for some reason, when i plug it into my HP, it does nothing, the laptop doesn’t recognize it. I am totally freaking out here, as I have a lot of important stuff on that external HD
